Hotels and businesses often face strict waste management regulations, but existing solutions can be costly and hardware‑intensive. The challenge was to design a lightweight, mobile‑friendly system that could classify waste accurately, estimate quantities, and provide oversight features without requiring specialized equipment.

The system was built to run on any mobile device and make waste recognition simple and accessible. Users could take photos of waste, receive AI‑driven classification and quantity estimates, confirm or correct results, and rely on an admin review layer for quality control.
