Raidboxes

Customers aimed at migrating their software to new servers owned by the customer. Since they had their software architecture built and connected to rented servers, they needed to migrate it as fast and efficiently as possible, to not disturb ongoing operations. Among their aims also were making the software more cost-efficient and achieving higher productivity.

We have decided to work on an API to help control the servers to achieve the customer’s goal. The API is created from scratch by our team. We are also working on a temporary proxy to help back up the servers until the migration is completed.

Our workflow was broken down into smaller steps that helped us achieve the final goal: 

1. Found the right tech stack for a synchronous workflow model; 

2. Created a proxy server to support both old and new API management systems; 

3. Assembled a small but effective team to work with the tech stack;

4. Created a custom API to ensure effective server management;

5. Ensured that the software can easily scale as it is constantly growing.

We’ve managed to help the customer with efficient and budget-friendly server migration, as well as ensured the future scalability of their solution.

Overall, this solution doubled both the memory capacity and productivity of Raidboxes.

Currently, Raidboxes have over 30,000 active servers, and the solution we’ve helped create made server hosting 10x cheaper for them.
